This Monday the 29th will mark the 16th edition of the Conference of the Parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP) and the 6th Conference of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (CMP). Kicking off in Cancun, Mexico, COP16 and CMP6 will provide a place for global minds to meet and address all things environmental. The meeting, which will run until December 10th, calls representatives from across the globe to discuss and assess progress in dealing with climate change, as well as the future commitments for industrialized countries under the Kyoto Protocol. This year one of our writers, Moe Beitiks, will be heading south of the border and reporting on all the most pertinent developments and discussions at COP16, so keep your ears and eyes open as this global conference unfolds.
